Artiste : ALEXANDRA BREZNAY *

Alexandra BREZNAY pursues a poetic vision of documentary photography, focusing on the environment of big cities and the solitude they engender.

Alexandra Breznay, born in 1985, is a French photographer. She studied at Sciences-Po and joined the International Center of Photography in New York. She then lived and worked in New York for several years before returning to France. Today, she lives in Paris, where she has taught photography to American students.

In her photographs, Alexandra Breznay captures moments of life and everyday impressions, against the backdrop of a dehumanized urban universe. Her gaze is filled with poetry, her works lulled into quietude. The artist proposes an encounter, placed under the sign of chance, and through it a societal reflection on the complexity of progress and urban life.

Alexandra Breznay's prints have been exhibited in France and abroad. Her photographs have also appeared in the press, in particular Le Point, L'Humanité, Le Monde, Les Echos, Télérama, La Vie, Madame Figaro, Têtu, French Morning and Der Blatt.
