Artiste : ANNE MANDORLA *

Anne Mandorla, painter and engraver, lives and works in Paris.

Structured by her triple training in fine arts, plastic arts and art history, she favours an evolving creation based on research. She takes a contemporary and sober look at reality - which she transforms. Her pictorial and engraved interpretation offers an abstract vision between full and empty. Her chromatic and gestural language, supported by a balanced composition, tends towards an increasingly minimal expression.

The successive themes interpenetrate and some of them reappear to create cycles. While weaving transdisciplinary links to botany, ethnology, history and architecture, they are articulated around the before and the elsewhere, in an attempt to apprehend the here and the now. Anne Mandorla invites us to analyse the secret forces that pull the human and the spiritual together.

Her work is represented in Paris by the Durst and Namy-Caulier galleries,

in Mulhouse by the Concorde gallery.

His artist's books are deposited in the Rare Books Department of the Bibliothèque Nationale de France.
