Artiste : CARINA FRIE *

Carina loves the sea. The soft luminosity, the aerial contact with the wind that moves tenderly along the heights. The lightness and simplicity. Originally from Austria, she fell in love with the horizons and Greek culture. She likes to admire, but also to give form, to model... 

She studied applied arts with passion at the University of the Arts in London. By specialising in ceramics and photography, Carina had written the first note of the score of her future life! 

Greece did not resist her for long. She met the famous ceramist Andreas Makaris, who lives and works in Santorini. Coming from a family of several generations of potters, it is a well of knowledge that opens up for Carina, who decides to lay down her arms. On the Greek island of Paros, she has been living and creating for 8 years, accompanied by her French husband and her 10 year old daughter. 

Contemplating and creating. This is what Carina aspires to. In contact with the sea and the soft atmosphere of this small corner of Greece, she shapes and materializes her energy in ceramic objects. 

Solar colours, delicately animated textures and patterns, and above all a soft and fresh sunny aura, always reflecting her surroundings.

Carina Frie creates vases, woods, plates, bowls and also small ceramic animals, part of the profits of which are reserved for the welfare of local stray cats.
