Artiste : MICHEL THIERY *

It was in Philippe Seené's workshop that Michel THIERY discovered sculpture, or rather, that it found him. From then on, a total revolution made him reorient his life around it. Fascinated by the body and what it conceals, he will never stop perfecting his art in order to offer the best to the eyes. He takes you into the world of his imagination. At first sight his works are sensual, delicate, and moving. His work can be seen as long choreographies which offer themselves to the heart, fixing in a moment what is eternal. It is an invitation to travel in what is only light, following the quote of R.Schuman "The role of the Artist is to bring light into the hearts of people".

His quest for the essential is rooted in Buddhist philosophy, the search for and expression of what is infinite and sacred in man. Among his inspirations, we can identify in particular Le Baiser by Rodin and the theme of love.
