Artiste : STOUL *
Stoul is an internationally recognized artist for her works with a personal and identifiable style, through her geometrical and coloured compositions which mix the figurative and the abstract.
Passionate, it is since her adolescence that she preforms her art in the streets of Paris by the voice of graffiti. She deeply loves graphic art and finds this aspect in architecture. It is for this reason that she chose to study at one of the greatest art and design schools, the École Boulle, where she learned metalwork.
Driven by the energy of creation, she took up her paint cans again in 2000 to perform at events where her famous female characters, such as cat-faced dolls, were displayed in full colour.
The style of her features is inspired by Japanese culture and has charmed audiences and collectors alike. Throughout his career, Stoul has reinvented himself and has gradually moved from a figurative style to more abstract paintings without altering his fibre.
It is currently an origami style that can be admired through his ORU series, which gives free rein to everyone to immerse themselves in their own perception, to be made and unmade with each new reading.
Stoul knows how to multiply his expression and also indulges in architectural projects that stimulate his mastery of 3D. ORU is the acronym for Opération de renouvellement urbain. This is why his art can also be seen in installations such as the white mobiles presented at the Cité Refuge, Paris 13 or at the entrance to the car park in Le Mans. Stoul does not limit herself. She also spreads her love through her commitments. In particular that of gender equality, during which she created a large fresco of 5 metres by 30 metres with young women from the neighbourhood in rue Daviel in Paris in 2019. An art that puts a foot on the side of the harmonization of the society thanks to striking socio-cultural actions by putting the beautiful in the service of the cohesion and vice versa.
