Opposite of Berlin Studio is an artist inspired by the abstract architectural elements of Berlin's buildings, which are mostly high-level GDR architecture, such as the Moskau Café, the Kaufhof Gallery or the Berliner Philharmony. Driven by the idea of connecting to the city through hidden elements of architecture, the collective sees a potential for a more personal attachment to their living environment. The studio works with details of patterns, often overlooked in everyday life, which also function as small souvenirs of these abstract elements. Opposite Berlin Studio is a collection of works in the form of paintings, bags and other small objects... but also photos, or graphic compositions always identifiable by balance, geometry, harmony and minimalism. Opposite of Berlin Studio elaborates what is simple.
